Night Shift Nadia (test)
Every routine below is something AI runs for Night. Press Copy for my agent on any of them to have your own AI build it.
Nadia, you've turned a free ChatGPT plan into a rota-aware night-shift sidekick, and now it needs a few more jobs before the free allowance runs out.
1Text me tomorrow's shift and what to pack
A notification each evening with tomorrow's shift times, which ward, and a packing list that changes for nights. Silent on days off.
Tomorrow: Long day, 07:00 to 19:30, Ward 4. Pack: compression socks, two snacks, the blue lanyard, phone charger. You are on a day after a night, so an early night tonight.
How to borrow it
- Reads
- a photo of the printed rota, uploaded on, a short list of what I pack for days and
- Runs on
- an assistant on a schedule
Ask first - What time do you want the message? (default 8pm) - How is your rota given to you: a printed sheet, an app, an email? (default a photo of the printed sheet) - What do you pack for a day shift, and what changes for a night? (default: ask for two short lists) - Do you have next fortnight's rota to hand today? If not, build with a made-up week and swap it in later. Needs - the person's shift pattern for the coming weeks, in any form the assistant can read. A photo of a printed sheet works; the assistant reads the dates and times off it. If the rota is only in a work app that cannot be exported, the person types the next two weeks in by hand, which takes two minutes. - two short packing lists, one for days and one for nights. - an assistant that can run once a day and send a notification. If it can only chat, the person asks each evening: "what is tomorrow" and gets the same answer. Build 1. Read: once a fortnight the person uploads the rota. The assistant turns it into a plain list of dates, start and end times and ward, and reads it back for the person to correct. 2. Decide: at the scheduled time, find tomorrow's date in the list. If there is no shift, send nothing. If tomorrow's shift is a night, or today was a night and tomorrow is a day, add one line about rest. 3. Deliver: one notification of four lines at most: the shift, the ward, the packing list for that shift type, and the rest line if it applies. The assistant remembers the fortnight's list between runs by keeping it in the task's own instructions, so it does not need to be re-uploaded daily. Check - Put a known shift on tomorrow's date and run the task once by hand: the message names that shift and the right packing list. - Put no shift on tomorrow's date and run it: nothing arrives. - The first real scheduled run is confirmed when the notification arrives on the evening before a real shift. In my version - ChatGPT on the free plan, one scheduled task. It runs in an evening window rather than at exactly 8pm, which is fine. - My rota is a printed sheet I photograph on the first day of each fortnight.
2Plan dinners around my shift pattern
A week of dinners and a shopping list arrive in the chat, with ten-minute meals on long days and something proper on days off.
Mon (long day): leftover chilli on rice. Tue (long day): eggs, beans, toast. Wed (off): roast chicken, enough for Thu. Thu (night): chicken wraps before you leave. Fri (night): freezer soup. Sat (off): fish pie. Sun (off): pasta bake. Shop: chicken, rice, eggs, beans, bread, tortillas, white fish, pasta, cheese, milk.
How to borrow it
- Reads
- next week's shifts, a list of 20 meals I actually cook
- Runs on
- an assistant on a schedule
Ask first - Which day do you want the plan? (default Saturday morning) - How many people are you cooking for? (default 2) - What are your twenty go-to meals, and which are quick? (default: ask for the list; mark anything under 15 minutes as quick) - Any food you never want to see? (default none) Needs - next week's shifts, from the same list the shift message uses, or typed in. - a list of meals the person already cooks, each marked quick or proper. Without a list, the assistant proposes twenty from what the person says they like and the person crosses out the ones they would not cook. - a chat-only version works fully: the person asks on Saturday, "plan next week's dinners around these shifts", pastes the shifts, and gets the same plan. Build 1. Read: the coming week's shifts and the meal list. 2. Decide: on a long day or a night, pick a quick meal; on a day off pick a proper one and, where it makes leftovers, use them on the next long day. Do not repeat a meal within the week. Keep the shopping list to things not likely to be in the cupboard, and let the person say what they have in. 3. Deliver: seven lines, one per day, with the shift type in brackets, then the shopping list. Nothing is bought; the person shops. Check - Give it a week with four long days and three days off: every long day gets a quick meal and no meal repeats. - Give it a week of all nights: every meal is quick, and the message says so rather than failing. In my version - ChatGPT free. Because the free plan allows three scheduled tasks, this shares the allowance with the shift message. - I cook for two. My list is twenty meals, eight of them quick.
3Turn my scribbled study notes into revision cards
A list of question and answer pairs comes back in the chat from photos of my handwritten notes, ready to test myself on the bus.
Turn my scribbled study notes into revision cards
Q: Normal respiratory rate, child aged 2 to 5? A: 20 to 30 breaths a minute.
Q: First sign of dehydration to check at triage? A: Capillary refill time over 2 seconds.
Q: What does the yellow band mean on the trolley? A: Weight-based dosing chart for 12 to 14 kg.
How to borrow it
- Reads
- photos of handwritten notes
- Runs on
- a chat assistant
Ask first - How many cards per page of notes? (default 8 to 12) - Do you want the answers hidden until you ask, or shown? (default shown, answer after the question) Needs - photos of the notes, taken in good light. If the handwriting cannot be read in places, the assistant says which lines it skipped rather than guessing. - nothing else. This is fully a chat routine. Build 1. Read: the person uploads one or more photos and says "cards please". 2. Decide: turn each fact into a question whose answer is one line. Skip anything that is a to-do rather than a fact. Keep numbers and units exactly as written; never invent a figure that is not in the notes. 3. Deliver: a numbered list, question then answer. If the person asks for a test, the assistant gives the questions only and marks the answers afterwards. Check - Upload a page with one deliberately unreadable line: the assistant lists it as skipped. - Upload a page with three numbers: all three appear unchanged in the cards. In my version - ChatGPT free, in the app on my phone. I do this on the bus home.
